GCompris

GCompris is a collection of educational applications that are suitable for 2- to 10-year-old children. Some of the programs included in the pack are game-orientated, but they are very educational. They all have been designed to help your child learn many different things in a fun and interesting way. GCompris has got a very simple, bright, colourful and child-friendly interface, that will keep your pupil interested and he or she will be able to use the program without needing much assistance from a parent or a guardian.

GCompris has got over a 100 different activities and they are all organized into several categories. These categories are: Computer Discovery, Algebra, Science, Geography, Games, Reading, and Other. There are activities that will help your child to learn how to use the computer, which you will find in the Computer Discovery section. There are various mathematical activities, such as quizzes that have addition, subtraction and multiplication questions. The suite also includes a large range of memory, puzzle, chess, sudoku and connect 4 games, which can help your child’s memory, intelligence and attention span.
