Resource Hacker is an efficient utility that will let you rename, view, delete, modify and even extract resources in 32 bit Windows executables, as well as in resource files (RES, CPL, EXE, DLL, etc.). It features a built-in resource script decompiler and compiler.
You can use Resource Hacker in order to extract resources such as menus, icons, cursors, between others. You can also modify and replace them as long as the new element respects the original name of the file.
With Resource Hacker you can view resources such as: Bitmap, Cursor and Icon as well as resource images like JPG, AVI and GIF. It is possible to play audio resources such as MIDI and WAV. The following resources can be viewed as decompiled resource scripts: MessageTables, Delphi Forms, VersionInfo, Accelerators, Dialogs and Menus. In fact, the last two resources may be viewed just like they would show up in an application being executed.
