WinFF is the Windows version of one of the most popular video converters that are used on Linux operating systems. The Linux version is used from the command line, but this one has got a simple and easy-to-use graphical user interface (GUI). This interface has got many options and functions that will help you to select your video, to preview it and to convert it into your chosen format. It also has many advanced settings that you can configure, such as that it lets you adjust the compression ratio, the resolution of the video and the sound quality.
WinFF is able to convert video and audio files to a large variety of formats. To simplify this it has a large amount of pre-determined settings for various devices, including iPod's, PSP's, mobile phones, Blackberry's and other multimedia devices. The application supports multi-threading for dual/multi core processors, which allow it to convert the files very quickly. The program can also convert multiple video and audio files to different formats at the same time.
